a coffee; a window in time to call your own. a memorable coffee describes itself beyond the cup in hand; rather we measure a coffee by it’s experience, its ceremony, the delectable character of its ritual.
no other act can define the day so artfully, or draw it to an end in such casual repose. milkd believes in the consecration of the coffee ambiance, & understands it takes more than the bean to set the scene. a milkd barrista upholds the spirit of the moment priding in the articulation of your coffee, your service, the perfection of your moment in time – no matter how you take it. rediscover coffee culture; have coffee culture with milkd.

Been a few times and enjoyed it, but today I was given the worst coffee (flat white) I’ve ever had. Bitter, thin and tasting of sour milk. Only able to drink a few sips and because I was sitting next to the barista (!),looking at my cup like it was the poisoned chalice, he must have known what an appalling brew he’d made.
I know I should have said something or complained – and at $4, it was something to complain about – But now I’ll just never go back there.

Coffee was great, I got exactly what i asked for (not too milky like some other reviews). However it was a bit too hot, I couldn’t touch it to my lips for at least 10 minutes

coffee is average, which is a shame because the atmosphere and service is great.

I am a north perth local and like to get my take aways from Mild, but as foretold on this page, sometimes the coffee can be a little on the milky side without the punch that i really like to feel/taste from my coffee.
I do like the service, the food is good, the ambience is great and you get to know the locals inside and walking past too!
Great for my dog too, she loves meeting all the people and dogs walking past.
Fact is, despite my critisism, the coffee must be ok because i keep going back! Win!

Have been a few times lately to compare coffees and unfortunately, have been disappointed each time. My latte was weak, way too milky and just insipid. Long black was just terrible, undrinkable.
Service not great, just OK.

I am growing increasingly fond of this part of Perth and Milkd is another of these cosy Melbourne style coffee shops which fly in the face of the Perth coffee scene knockers.
Milkd is a simple concept well executed, minimalistic yet comfortably cool with an urban inner city feel. It makes great use of its busy street location with both on street and street facing tables; a great place to visit with friends while not intimidating to visit alone…. The coffee wasn’t anything I’d rave about, mine came out extremely milky – short mac hello??? However the food is great value for money! Ambiance and service wasn’t anything special, but good.

This place is always buzzing. Nice atmosphere and generally friendly staff. Coffee seems to have gone off the boil – average at best.

I frequent here a lot due to location… Always so busy! I have to say the coffees not brilliant, mostly due to its inconsistency. I have had killer coffees here (mostly dine in) but then some god awful ones too. The takeaway “buckets” also tend to be a bit too milky. Not in love with the Essenza blend and would have thought it an odd choice for milkd.
That said, the atmosphere is lovely, though. The service is also a bit haphazard on weekends, I think partly just because of the amount of human traffic through the place! Its very popular, and other than inconsistency I really have no complaints. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I wish them continued success!

Milkd is very popular, especially on Saturdays and Sundays, and there’s often a queue for tables in addition to the queue for takeaways.
However, when you secure a table (especially one outside!) it’s a great place to enjoy Breakfast and read the paper while the world goes by. Staff are extremely friendly, with good banter and efficient service. I’m yet to wait longer than 5 minutes for a takeaway, which is a standard that every cafe should hold itself to.
Big fan of the Chai Lattes, and the Bacon and Eggs on New Norcia Bread – it’s my favourite way to start a Sunday!

Beans – Essenza. The coffee is a bit inconsistent (Mar-10) sometimes. I’ve had outstanding coffees here before but just too many average ones lately, coffee running too hot and spoiling the taste. Nice breakfasts, my favourite is the tomato, fetta and avocado on brushetta.

We have been disappointed with our couple of visits, coffee leaves a lot to be desired, OJ was weak and watered down, croissant was dry.

Some of the coffee that comes out of here is a little burnt. When they are busy the output is slow, so avoid during coffee rush hour. Apart from that they are right up there for good coffee in Perth.

Fresh and upbeat café that is popular among locals. Coffee is pleasant and easy going. They do a great vanilla thickshake for little ones. Highly recommended.

Not sold on the North Perth place. I’ve ducked there for a take away coffee a few times and it’s been blisteringly hot and waaay milky and they use those monster take away cups. Same with the Maylands cafe. But, the Maylands place does a killer brekky though. The dine in coffee rules and the staff are awesome. I gave the take away coffee 1 and the dine in 3, so it’s gotta be 2 (it would be a 2.5 if there was that option)

I like milk, its a great little cafe that serve a great cup of coffee.. Only problem I find is that they get very busy on weekends so its a challenge to get a table at times..
Coffee is made with Essenza beans, they do it well..
I like the ‘Stormie Mills’ piece on the back wall, its a nice touch.
